CU- close up a picture that is close to the subject

BCU- big close up a tighter shot where it almost suffocates the frame

XCU- extreme close up focus only on nose or eyes or mouth

MCU- medium close up half way between a midway shot and a close up


MLS- medium long shot framing such an object four or five feet high would fill most of the screen vertically

LS- long shot a framing in which the scale of the object shown is small a standing human figure would appear nearly the height of the screen

XLS- extreme long shot the scale of the object shown is very small a bulding, landscape, or crowed of people will fill the screen

AS- aerial shot a camera shot that is filmed from an airplane or a helicoptor

POV- point of view shot shows what the characters see

OS- over the shoulder shot
