For our next project we were put in groups and each group was assigned a song. My group was give the song symphony by Zara Larsson and Clean Bandit

After this we were told to look at different versions or covers of our song.

After over an hour of searching we could not find a cover of the song that we liked, however I had a song in mind already that follows the same theme of power and being strong this song was Elastic Heart by Sia

We didn’t want to use the original version so in the end we choose to use my favourite cover song of Elastic Heart by Written by wolves

For this topic we had to make a radio drama or podcast about any topic we wanted to discuss.

to begin with I learnt about Foley sound and how you can really unusual sounds. For example if you flap a pair of gloves together it sounds like a bird flapping their wings.

so we had to apply this to our podcast. but I did not make to our video version as we had no way to include it.

Afterwards me and Callum had to come up with a name for our podcast, as neither of us are creative at coming up with names we had help from our friend and class mate James and he was the one who came up with the name…… ‘Nerds of the multiverse’

Once we settled on the name we had to find a theme song to use for our jingle.

We were very indecisive on what song to use but eventually we settled on ‘save me’ by Remy Zero ( the theme song to the television show Smallville)

As soon as everything was sorted me and Callum recorded the podcast and it went surprisingly well. However we did have a few difficulties as we discovered that only half of our footage was recorded, But thankfully our technician found our remaining footage. We added our intro and our outro to it and the editing took only two days.

Over the past couple of weeks me and Callum have successfully produced and edited a really good final podcast.

Why do you enjoy it?

= I enjoy the podcast because because i love horror movies and the podcast is mixed with comedy

Speech:

• The manner in which words are spoken.
• Enunciation, pitch, accent, timbre, clarity etc.
• Prevent ‘popping’ ‘fillers’, cussing, being to close to the mic.
• Usually formal language (audience)
• Voice track should be equalised in post.

Music:

• Highly important
• Sets the mood, tone and setting of a scene
• Most consider the audience
• Should not be louder than the speech, unless solo

Sound:

• Ambience sound
• Special effects (sfx)
• 3D perspective (surround system, like we are there.
